LARRY STEVE TUCKER

Larry Steve Tucker, 64, of Sunnyside passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005, at home.

Larry was born March 9, 1941 in Grandview to Melvin and Vera (Walker) Tucker. He attended schools in Sunnyside. He married Elaine Pierson, June 1, 1959 in Sunnyside. He worked on farms and later in the auto repair industry, retiring in 1999. Larry was always known as “Mr. Fix-it” and was always fixing something.

Larry was a Ham Radio operator and a very avid fisherman.

Larry is survived by his wife, Elaine; three sons, Mark S. and Karen Tucker of Sunnyside, Rod W. and Sunceray Tucker of Juneau, Alaska and Norm and Rebecca Tucker of Sunnyside; one daughter, Margaret R. Bates of Sunnyside; one brother, Ellis L. Tucker of Mabton; nine grandchildren, Zachery Bates, Casey Bates, Sarah Tucker Feilding, Melaine Tucker, Matthew A. Tucker, Kimber Tucker, Siarra Tucker, Aaron Tucker and Benjamin Tucker.

At Larry’s request, there will be no services. Cremation will be at Valley Hills Crematory. Valley Hills Funeral Home, Sunnyside, is in charge of arrangements.

ISRAEL ZUNIGA

Israel (Ray) Zuniga, 59, of Sunnyside passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ray was born in Mabton in 1945 to Julian and Guadalupe Zuniga. He was educated in Sunnyside. He served in the military as an army reservist. Ray was employed by the James River Corporation and Silgan Containers of Toppenish, prior to his illness.

Ray is survived by his wife, Victoria; three children, Vicky and husband, Dennis Faulk, of Prosser, Olga and husband, Jessie Pacheco of Sunnyside and Israel Zuniga, Jr. of Sunnyside. Ray is also survived by his father, Julian; one brother; and seven sisters.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Viewing for Ray will be held Sunday, April 17, 2005, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home Chapel, Sunnyside. A celebration of Ray’s life will be held Monday, April 18, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Sunnyside Church of God on North Avenue, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens. Valley Hills Funeral Home is in charge or arrangements.
