School shop burglarized

A burglary believed to have occurred Saturday, April 16, was discovered Wednesday by Sunnyside School District employees.

Taken from the maintenance shop in the 100 block of South Ninth Street were four, eight-foot sections of aluminum bleacher seating. The seating has an estimated value of $300 to $400.

Wednesday, police also investigated two thefts from storage units in the 500 block of Scoon Road. A list of items taken has not been released.

Sunnyside police are also investigating a theft from a car that was broken into in the 800 block of Mayhew. The theft was reported at 6:30 a.m. this morning (Thursday.)
