The public is invited to attend an All-American fund-raising dinner this coming Friday, which will benefit the 2005 Fourth of July fireworks display fund.
The dinner, hosted by Sunnyside veterans groups, will feature barbecued hamburgers, American fries, Boston baked beans, and apple and cherry pies. It will be held Friday, April 29, at the SunnyView VFW Hall, 615 North Ave., beginning at 6 p.m. Cost is $6.
In addition, the Sunnyside Lions Club will host a silent auction and raffle at the Friday night dinner to further benefit the community fireworks fund.
The fireworks display, which traditionally concludes the Sunnyside Fourth of July celebration, will be held at Clem Senn Football Field at Sunnyside High School.
Individuals wishing to donate additional funds to the community fireworks fund may donate to the account established at the Sunnyside Banner Bank, or contribute change to the fireworks donation jars located at various Sunnyside businesses or add to the recycle can fund established at Dan's Recycling Center in Grandview.
More than $3,500 is needed to produce this year's display.
