Stabbing suspect found

GRANGER - A third man has been charged in connection with a stabbing that took place recently at a residence in Granger.

Tuesday, April 26, the Granger Police Department was notified by the Washington State Department of Corrections that one of the two remaining suspects in the stabbing incident had been arrested by Department of Corrections personnel this past Monday and booked into the Toppenish jail on an unrelated parole violation.

Paul Erik Lopez was then transported from Toppenish to the Yakima County Jail, where Granger police served the 21-year-old with documents charging him with attempted murder and criminal gang intimidation.

Lopez is suspected of being involved in a stabbing incident that left a 24-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen and back.

Police are still investigating the incident and looking for a fourth suspect thought to be involved in the stabbing.
