No arrests made yet in local gang shooting

Sunnyside police have made no arrests in connection with last Thursday night's shooting that sent one 16-year-old male to the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.

According to Sunnyside Police Chief Ed Radder, Sunnyside detectives are still seeking the whereabouts of persons wanted in connection with the shooting that took place at 801 E. Harrison Avenue late last Thursday afternoon.

Saying the shooting is related to a similar shooting that took place at the same location nearly a week and a half ago, police are seeking the whereabouts of Armando Gonzalez, 26, and Carlos Juan Flores, 24. Also sought is Manuel Daniels, 23, who is believed to have been injured in the altercation.

Arrested shortly after the shooting was Marcus A. Torres, whom police say opened fire on the other three men, who were seen driving away in a Dodge Stratus.

A fourth unidentified person is also wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting.

The 16-year-old injured in the shooting was treated and released from Sunnyside Community Hospital.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Sunnyside police at 837-2120.
