The Masters Mid Week Challenge III Cribbage Tournament will be held this week, Aug. 4-5, at the Sunnyside Eagles Lodge.
The main tournament will begin on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 9 a.m. The tournament will feature 22 games being played.
Thursday evening will feature a nine-game tournament beginning at 7 p.m.
The championship round for the main tournament will be held Friday morning, starting at 8 a.m. The consolation rounds will follow at 9:30 a.m.
2004 tournament champion Ron Morgan of Loyalton, Calif. and consolation champion Louis Sevigny of Moxee will be looking to defend their titles.
Also being featured this week is the fourth annual Summer Classic cribbage tournament, which will be held at El Valle Family Mexican Restaurant in Sunnyside.
The tournament will begin Friday, Aug. 5, and run through the weekend. Games for the summer classic will begin on Friday at 3 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the hi rollers play portion of the tournament will start.
On Saturday, Aug. 6, the main games of the weekend tournament will begin at 9 a.m. A total of 22 games will be played.
Defending champion Jack Moritzky of Mabton will be on hand for the summer classic, as well as consolation champion Jim Hornbacher of Pullman.
Tournament games at the Summer Classic will also be taking place at 7 p.m. Saturday night and beginning at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
