Granger man turns self into Pasco police

PASCO - A Granger man wanted in connection with the shooting of a Kennewick man last Saturday night has turned himself in to the Pasco Police Department.

Florensio Flores, 32, of Granger was being sought in connection to his alleged involvement in the shooting, which occurred near Sacajawea State Park in Pasco, according to Pasco police.

Flores is accused of shooting John R. Maxwell, 25, in the cheek with a small-caliber handgun, said Pasco Police Capt. Jim Raymond.

Raymond said Flores, who had been stopped early Sunday morning on a minor traffic violation near Sunnyside, turned himself in to the Pasco police at 6 p.m. Tuesday night.

Flores is now being held in custody in the Franklin County jail, waiting to be arraigned on first degree assault charges, Raymond said.
