GRANDVIEW - The only Lower Valley election result still undecided from the General Election in November is the race between Mark A. Meyer and Karen Veloz, who are vying for the school director District 2 spot on the Grandview School Board.
Meyer garnered 960 Yakima County votes to Veloz' 983. Because the Grandview School District extends into Benton County, Veloz received 29 votes from Benton County voters, while Meyer picked up 46.
A mandatory recount of Yakima County's votes will be held in the Yakima County Auditor's Office Friday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m.
In the Grandview School Board election, Alfonso Contreras and Paul D. Jepson were unopposed for school board seats in District 3 and 5, respectively.
