Irvin Ray Johnson, 74, of Grandview died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005 in Grandview.
He was born May 6, 1931 in Gibbon, the son of Iver (Myren) and Mary Johnson. Irvin was married to his first wife, Alice Startzel, for 25 years. She died in 1978. He married Lois Nordeen, April 17, 1982.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lois Johnson of Grandview; one son, Mike and wife, Angie, Johnson, of Grandview and one stepson, Mike Wolfe of Alturas, Calif.; three grandsons; five sisters, Hilda Ruthardt of Tacoma, Donie Baumgarten of Chelan, Jean Bryant and Mary Ann Smith, both of Kennewick, and Donna Henry of Yakima; several cousins in the United States and Norway; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice; daughter, Deborah; his parents; brother, Harold (Bud) Johnson; and sister, Ruth Damon; and several aunts and uncles in Norway.
Viewing and visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Grandview. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Grandview. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Grandview, which is in charge of arrangements.
