Sunnyside police were dispatched to the business Totally Cellular on East Lincoln Avenue Sunday at 2:31 a.m. when the front door alarm was activated. The officers reported that they secured the door as best they could, but anyone could still walk in.
The same alarm was reported to a store representative, who discovered the cash register missing when she went to the store later in the morning. She reported the theft at 6:55 a.m. yesterday.
At 6:21 a.m. today (Monday), a resident in the 1400 block of East Gregory Avenue reported the attempted, but unsuccessful, theft of his 1993 Toyota. However, the ignition was damaged and the vehicle was unable to be turned off.
