Bickleton makes gains but still falls to Tri-City Prep

BICKLETON - The Lady Pirates hosted Tri-City Prep last night, losing 44-27.

"Our defense suffered a bit," Bickleton Coach Tom Whitmore said. "We played some man to man and some zone, it was effective at times."

The Pirates played it closed, trailing by only six points going into the half.

In the second half the Pirates might have made a run at it but they couldn't make their free throws and that more than likely cost them the game.

The Pirates were just 6 of 28 from the line while Tri-City Prep shot 10 of 24.

"I feel we made some improvements on both offense and defense but we still need to work on those areas," Whitmore said.

Corryn Raschko led the Pirates with 11 points. Yesenia Macias added 7.

The Pirates travel to play Arlington in Oregon this Friday.
