G'view home hit by burglary

GRANDVIEW - A burglary in the 200 block of Pleasant Ave. in Grandview on Thursday, Dec. 22, resulted in the loss of numerous items totalling about $3,500 in value, according to Police Captain Mark Ware.

The burglary occured sometime Thursday between 11 a.m. and midnight when a Sony Playstation, a dvd, XBox, surround stereo, ten XBox games, a digital camera, a crossbow and a couple of firearms were taken from the home.

Ware said there was a footprint found outside the home that matched one inside left behind in the burglary. "The footprint is consistent in and out of the house, but with all the stuff that was taken someone may have been outside helping to load up," Ware noted.

In another burglary incident on Thursday, a home in the 1100 block of Viall Road in Grandview was broken into sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 6 p.m., but nothing was reported missing at the time.
