WEST VALLEY - Every Bickleton High School Lady Pirate got in on the rebound action in Tuesday night's basketball game against the West Valley freshmen team.
The Lady Pirates handily beat the freshmen 34-17 in the non-league match-up.
Lady Pirate Annie Hess, the team's perennial point leader, claimed 11 rebounds last night in addition to her 22 points.
Also on the rebound brigade were Bickleton's Amber Bennett and Corryn Raschko with six each, while Kirstin Slater and Senia Macias grabbed four rebounds apiece.
The Bickleton varsity girls claimed a 10-5 lead at the end of the first quarter, adding another 12 points to go into halftime up 22-7.
"We played great," said Bickleton Coach Tom Whitmore.
He credited Corryn Raschko with leading the charge as the team's point guard. "She knocked down two 3-pointers back to back before the half," said Whitmore.
"That, with some great defense play gave us the 15-point lead going into the half," Whitmore said.
The Lady Pirates will face Mabton at Bickleton Friday night, before traveling to Klickitat on Saturday.
