Sunnyside Christian High names honor roll students

The junior class at Sunnyside Christian High School excelled academically during the second quarter of the 2004-05 school year. A total of 12 juniors have been named to the high honor roll, reserved for those who achieve between a 3.50 and 4.00 grade point average.

The scholastic achievers include juniors John Bosma, Megan DeGroot, Ben Dekker, Chad Den Boer, Erika DeRuyter, Jamie Durbin, Juliana Erickson, Matthew Haak, Chelsey Jones, Katie Schneider, Jessica Schrotenboer and Kimber Tucker.

A total of 10 freshmen also achieved high honor roll status. They are Jesse Brouwer, Michael DeGroot, Marc DeJong, Albert denHoed, Joey Elerding, Connor Erickson, Andy Freepons, Jason Friend, Laura Schrotenboer and Brenen Swofford.

From the sophomore class there were eight students who earned high honor roll accolades. They are Lucas Brouwer, Nick DeJong, Brittany denHoed, Brandon DeVries, Luke Meininger, Nicolete Plooster, Adrian Van Oostrum and Tori Van Wingerden.

Seniors named to the high honor roll include Samantha DeRuyter, Andrew Friend and Jordan Roberts.

A total of 21 other SCHS students have been listed as regular honor roll achievers. To qualify, they had to earn between a 3.00 and 3.49 grade point average for the second quarter of school. They include:

seniors Carly DeGroot, Jordan Haak, Luke Marx, Robin Seifert, Heather Van Wingerden and Tyssyna Van Wingerden;

juniors Kevin Floyd, Emma Hernandez and Erica Smasne;

sophomores Caitlin Aleman, Abby Berkompas, Elizabeth Friend, Heidi Haak and Jacqui Roberts;

freshmen Alex Benjert, Taylor Gardner, Joel Koopmans, Emma Newhouse, Andrea Schutt, Vanessa Van Boven and Alan Visser.
