Car theft, burglary reported

GRANDVIEW - Grandview police are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of a missing 1996 KIA taken from the 100 block of Hillcrest Road early this morning (Wednesday).

The red, four-door car was taken without the permission of the owners, according to a Grandview police report.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the car is asked to call the Grandview Police Department at 882-2000.

In an unrelated case, a Grandview resident filed a false report claiming his car had been stolen from his home in the 200 block of Birch Street. It was later discovered he had wrecked the vehicle in question.

In the meantime, Grandview police are investigating a residential burglary in which an undetermined amount of jewelry and change was taken from a house in the 1300 block of West Glen Street. The police have no suspects at this time.
