Outlook Grange plans dinner

OUTLOOK - The annual Outlook Grange dinner will be held Sunday, Feb. 27, from noon to 3 p.m. at the grange hall, 4400 Van Belle

Rd.

Cost for the dinner of roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rutabagas, apple salad and pie is $6 for adults and $3 for children, ages 6 to 12.

Prosser Memorial Hospital goes 'Red' Friday

PROSSER - Prosser Memorial Hospital's lobby will go red Friday, Feb. 18, as the hospital's presents its "Go Red for Women" event.

The event is a part of the hospital's salute to National American Heart Association Month's "Go Red for Women" campaign. The awareness program is part of the association's call for women to take charge of their own heart health, said Stephanie Williams, Memorial's community relations spokesperson.

During the "Go Red" event, hospital staff will be providing free blood pressure checks, blood sugar and cholesterol screenings from 8 a.m. to noon, in the hospital lobby.

In addition, a variety of other heart healthy screenings will be offered. Those attending the event will receive a Red Dress pin, the American Heart Association's symbol used to bring awareness to women's heart health.

Grandview seeking applicants for Port position

GRANDVIEW - The Port of Grandview is seeking applicants to fill an open seat on the board.

The Port is currently looking to fill the open seat for the commissioner of district two, which means interested candidates must live within the district boundaries. Letters of interest will be accepted until Thursday, March 10, at 5 p.m. The letters can be sent to the Port of Grandview, c/o Grandview City Hall, 207 W. Second St., Grandview, WA 98930 or dropped by the front counter at Grandview City Hall.

The legal description of district two includes the portion of Grandview that falls within the boundaries created by traveling east along Second Street, south along Avenue B to Fifth Street, east along Fifth to Appleway Road, south along Appleway to Pecan Road, southeast along Pecan to the east boundary of Orchard Tract 84 to the southern boundary of Tract 85, then east to the northeast corner of Fruitland Orchard Tracts 4, south along Cherry Lane, then east following the city limits boundary to Elm Street, then north along Elm to Second Street.
