Wednesday was not the night to be a resident of Sunnyside's Harrison Hill. Sixteen residents of neighborhoods on the hill reported having vehicle windows shot out between 11:45 p.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. this morning, according to police records.
The first vehicle with a window shot out was found in the 200 block of Grandview Avenue. Police found a concentration of car and truck windows shot out in the 200 block of Grandview Avenue. In total, six of the 16 vehicles were in that block. Another vehicle in the 400 block of Grandview Avenue and one in the 800 block of Grandview Avenue had a window shot out, as did two in the 900 block of Grandview Avenue.
Police also received reports that three vehicles in the 500 block of Ridgeway Loop were damaged by the random shooters, as was one in the 400 block of S.W. Crescent Avenue, one in the 900 block of Taylor Avenue and one in the 800 block of Dayton Drive.
Also reporting a damaged window on a vehicle was a resident in the 800 block of Ismo Street.
According to police officials, there are no suspects at this time.
