Sunnyside Port District commissioners approved a 3 percent cost of living salary increase for the Port's 12 full-time employees.
The commissioners approved the 2005 salary schedule, which averages out to a 3 percent increase across the board, during the Commission's December meeting.
Under the new schedule Port Manager Amber Hansen will earn $60,000 a year to manage and direct the Port's business.
The commissioners also approved paying Port Engineer Bob Farrell a salary of $57,500 a year.
The remaining salary schedule allows for $39,000 a year for the Port's financial officer, $36,800 for its contract administrator and $36,200 for the Port's facility technican.
The Port's operation supervisor will earn $39,075 in 2005 and the Port's administrative assistant will earn $23,800 a year.
The Port's three lab analysts will be paid between $24,640 and $32,940 depending on their years of experience and time with the Port, said Hansen. The schedule also adjusts the salary of the Port's operations assistant to $21,525 and the Port's maintenance person to an annual salary of $26,050.
Hansen said the pay increases are comparable with other public entities of a similar sized budget, which for the Port is a little over $3 million this year.
