Identity theft reported in Grandview

GRANDVIEW - A Grandview man reported to police this past Friday that his debit card had been used without his permission.

According to Grandview Det. Mark Ware, the man, who lives on West Second Street in Grandview, reported that his card had been used to make a purchase in Los Angeles, but he had not been to that city.

Not an uncommon occurrence, said Ware, the police are still investigating the incident.

Also reported to Grandview police this past weekend was damage to the concession stand at the high school. According to Ware, the aluminum roll-down window covering had been forced open. Nothing was in the concession stand area, so nothing was taken. Damage to the window covering is estimated at $2,000. The damage to the concession stand was reported Saturday night.

Grandview police were also called to investigate a stolen bicycle from the 100 block of Birch Street. The bicycle was noticed missing from the residence on Saturday. Ware said there are no suspects or witnesses to the theft.

Last Thursday, Grandview police were called toinvestigate two seperate shoplifting incidents.
