G'view teen shot

GRANDVIEW - The Grandview Police Department had few details to provide from a shooting that occurred last night.

Grandview Det. James Driscoll was still sifting through the details of the case this morning (Tuesday).

What is known is that at about 7:22 p.m. Monday night, Grandview police officers responded to an assault call involving a firearm in the 600 block of West Wine Country Road.

Driscoll said a 16-year-old male from Grandview was shot in the side of the head. The youngster was transported to Prosser Memorial Hospital and later taken to Kadlec Medical Center in the Tri-Cities.

Driscoll said one 20-year-old male was taken into custody in connection with the incident.

"We are looking at some other people to bring in," said Driscoll.
