Robbi and Jennifer Raab of Yakima handily bested the field this past weekend in Black Rock Creek Golf Course's annual "Love Is" Couples Tournament.
The duo shot a combined two-day total of 10-over-par 154.
The Raabs opened tournament play on Saturday with a 2-over-par 74, which was four strokes better than their nearest competitor. The Yakima couple closed with an 8-over 80 on Sunday.
The format for the July 23-24 tourney was Chapman play, an alternating shot type game.
Larry and Patty Anderson claimed runner-up honors with a 166 (82-84).
Third through sixth place finishers, in order, included Terry and Nora Mathews (83-84-167), Troy and Carol Monholland (87-82-169), Dean Schuler and Donna Kroger (83-88-171), and Don and Marlana Williams (82-90-172).
In the net scoring column (actual score minus handicap), the winners were Len Walker and Olive Ruff. The duo shot 15 strokes below their combined scoring averages for a two-day total of 129.
Second through sixth place net finishers were Don and Beckie Hildman (131), James and Connie Rogers (134), Stan and Connie Davis (138), George and Beth Frederick (139), and Ken and Diana Vaughn (141).
