host Cal Ripken State tourney

The event will be held at the fairgrounds July 13-17. But before the tournament can come to town, the Grandview Cal Ripken League will be putting in new pitcher's mounds and constructing dugouts at one of the fields. They have already constructed dugouts at two of the fields located at the fairgrounds.

The tournament will bring 16 to 18 Cal Ripken teams to Grandview.
