Parent conference set for Saturday

Parents are encouraged to attend a day-long conference this Saturday (March 5) to learn more about the Washington Assessment of Student Learning, truancy laws and impact of the No Child Left Behind Act.

The information is all part of the discussion to be held during the second annual Parent Resource and Education Conference, sponsored by the Sunnyside School District, the Parent Information and Resource Center and GEAR-Up.

The conference will be held at Harrison Middle School from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Parents are asked to pre-register for the conference by calling Luz Rodriguez at 836-8435.
