A small sacrifice
Although I do not know Noah Clift and his family personally
I have a place in my heart for them. Each of us may not have "a lot of
finances" but together we can raise the additional $13,920 for this little
boy's needed operation.
I challenge each of you reading my letter to forego one meal
out this week or a coffee/soft drink and donate that one to five dollars to the
Noah Clift fund. Together our community can make it a breeze. You can just drop
your "lunch money" at US Bank and say it is for the Noah Clift fund.
Let's make it happen this week.
My best to the family He is adorable.

Lions salute Noah supporters
On Wednesday evening (Feb. 23) a silent auction was held at
the Sunnyside Community Center to raise funds for Noah Clift's medical
treatment. The community gathered together to help a child in need. Merchants
from Yakima to Tri-Cities and everywhere between donated items. The Sunnyside
Lions would like to salute all of these business people.
Thanks also to Joan Niemeyer paid the fee for the use of the
community center, Frank Allec of KZXR donated his time and talent as emcee, and
to Dustin Clift did a great job selling raffle tickets. A special thanks goes
to the people who purchased auction items: John Dalrymple, Joyce Dalrymple,
Terri Rice, Lisa Fairbairn, Ralph Stanton, Kathy Janshen, Jay Top, Mary
DeLorme, Ed Becker, Susan Clift, Tawnya Sapp, Ray Fujiura, Cristina Klatovsky,
Shirley Stredwick, Michael Dalrymple, Andrew Rice, Francis Janshen, Elner
Becker, Debbie Stanton Don Clift, Paul Stanton and Martha Conradt. The Dairy
Fair donated the cheese platter and those Lions who provided snacks, including
Cristina Klatovsky and Julia Hart. Family friends donated delicious baked good
for the oral auction.
It was a community effort and we should be proud. The
auction was a tremendous boost to the fund but we are still short of the goal.
Contributions are still being accepted. Donations can be
sent to Sunnyside Lions Club, P.O. Box 1103, Sunnyside Wa. 98944. Checks should
be made out to Sunnyside Lions/Noah Clift fund.
