Jr. Indelook Club to learn about Civil War quilts

The Jr. Indelook Club will spend time during its next meeting learning about the use of quilts during the Civil War, and the important role the craft played in the underground railroad.

The club will meet Wednesday, March 9, at 7 p.m. at the home of hostess Marjory Wright. The meeting will be co-hosted by Jan Myers. During the meeting Jeanne Pickel of Quilts and More will talk about quilts and the Civil War, as well as display a quilt that demonstrates how the patterns were used to direct people along the underground railroad. The program chair for the meeting is Diane Monroe.

Roll call for the meeting will give club members a chance to share both their favorite and most disliked commercials.
