WASL night

for families

Parents of Sunnyside students will have the opportunity to learn what is expected of their children, in terms of successfully completing the Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) exams, this coming Tuesday evening.

The Sunnyside School District, as well as the Sunnyside Parent Information and Resource Center and GEAR-UP organizers, will host a WASL family night at Harrison Middle School from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Tuesday, March 8, informational presentations are open to all Sunnyside students and their parents.

Topics to be addressed include family engagement standards, students' expectations and No Child Left Behind Act information. Also, there will be free WASL handouts and a GEAR-UP information booth.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
