Local woman victim of debit card fraud

A woman reported this past Monday that her debit card has been used on two different occasions at a local convenience store without her permission.

The woman told Sunnyside police that her debit card and pin number had been used at a corner store, although, she added, she is the only person with the pin number, she told officers. In total, $45 in charges were deducted from her card.

Also reported this past Monday was a burglary in the 200 block of Rouse Road. The victim is still tallying up the loss to report to police.

Tuesday morning, police responded to a vehicle prowl in the 1300 block of North Avenue.

Also reported Tuesday morning was a burglary at a business in the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue. The owners of the business reported that tools were taken from the shop.
