Church burglarized Friday

GRANDVIEW - The Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located in the 100 block of North Elm Street in Grandview, was burglarized last Friday. Police are unsure of exactly when the building was broken into.

According to Det. Mark Ware, the crooks entered through a window of the church and took a computer from the pastor's office. The computer was recovered behind the church.

Also recovered was a Ford Festiva, which was stolen from the 300 block of Avenue E in Grandview. The car was taken between 8 p.m. last Friday night and 6 a.m. Saturday morning, according to Ware. It was recovered just before noon from a parking lot in Grandview. There was no damage to the vehicle and nothing was missing from the car.

Grandview police are also investigating a reported burglary in the 500 block of Stassen Way. Nothing was reportedly taken from the home.
