Campground hosts being sought now
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR)
is looking for reliable and committed volunteers interested in living at a
campground during the summer months.
Those selected will serve as DNR hosts at the campgrounds,
each with unique characteristics. Most of the sites are rustic, offering
volunteer campground hosts the opportunity to enjoy the natural surroundings
while interacting with recreational users of state lands.
Campground hosts have two primary duties—to conduct general
maintenance and to act as a point of contact for campers. All hosts must
complete first aid training and successfully pass a Washington State Patrol
criminal background check.
Those interested in applying for a position should contact
Sarah Thirtyacre (360-902-1678).
