G'view links crew 3rd at 5-team match

OTHELLO - Paced by Sean Tudor's 10-over-par 80 and an 81 from Andrew Michels, the Grandview High School boys golf team earned a tie for third place honors at a five-school CWAC league match staged at the Othello municipal golf course Monday afternoon.

Coupled with a pair of 92's carded by David Trevino and T.J. Bolt, Grandview tallied a 345 team score. Toppenish, behind a 79 and 83 shot by brothers Adam and Tyler Story, tied the 'Hounds with a 345 team total.

The host Othello Huskies won the CWAC league match with a school record 296. Othello received a 3-under 67 from Bart Patitucci, who earned medalist honors for the day. The Huskies also got a 74, 77 and 78 from Jason Brault, Travis Mohs and Brandon Robbins, respectively.

The East Valley Red Devils, led by Tyler Chapman's 74, finished second with a team tally of 328. The Naches Valley Rangers brought up the rear with a 399.

The Grandview boys golf team isn't scheduled to compete again until next Tuesday, May 10, at a CWAC match it will host at Black Rock Creek Golf Course.
