Chamber of Commerce generators reported stolen

The Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce reported two portable generators as stolen from the intersection of Sixth Street and Edison Avenue. Sunnyside police officers are looking into the theft, which was reported Tuesday afternoon.

Police are also investigating a burglary in the 1200 block of East Decatur Avenue. The residents of the property reported that tires and car rims were stolen from their garage. The items stolen were being stocked up by the residents of the home, who are planning to open a new business.

A vehicle from the 200 block of Grandview Avenue was reported stolen Tuesday morning. Police are investigating the missing 1988 Honda CRV, but have no suspects at this time.

On Monday, Sunnyside police arrested a 33-year-old Prosser woman who attempted to cash a fake check at a bank located on South Sixth Street.

The woman was arrested and is being charged with forgery.

Two thefts in the 1700 block of Cascade Way were reported Monday afternoon. One of the residents reported that her lawnmower was stolen.

Police are also looking into a burglary in the 1200 block of Roosevelt Court. A home was broken into and a television, VCR and videos were taken.
