Utility trailer stolen from local cemetery

OUTLOOK - A utility trailer valued at $1,000 was reported stolen Tuesday afternoon by a member of the Outlook Cemetery Association.

The trailer, which was parked at the cemetery located on Gap Road, was reported missing late Tuesday afternoon, according to a Yakima County Sheriff's Department spokesperson.

The chain link fence was damaged by the thieves. An estimated $800 in damage to the fence will have to be repaired.

The sheriff's office doesn't have any suspects at this time.

The utility trailer is described as a homemade, white, 1947 utility trailer that could be used to haul things such as lawnmowers and fill dirt. The trailer, four feet by eight feet, is all-metal with 18-inch sides bordering the frame. Anyone who spots the stolen trailer is asked to call the sheriff's department.
