Council approves industrial waste water contract with Bybee Foods

GRANDVIEW - Monday night, the Grandview City Council approved the implementation of an industrial wastewater contract with Bybee Foods, LLC.

Bybee Foods will be operating the food processing plant located along Grandridge Road.

May beautification winners recognized

GRANDVIEW - Five Grandview homeowners and one business owner was recognized during Monday's Grandview City Council meeting for being recipients of May beautification awards.

Home of the month awards were presented to Jack and Mentha Black of 1305 W. Fourth St., John and Stephanie Funk of 401 Westridge Dr., Darrel and Roberta McCallum of 1205 Rainier Dr., Ken and Rachel Ott of 504 E. Fourth St., and Dan and Shelby Hall of 751 E. Bonnieview Rd.

The recipient of the business beautification award was Brad and Bev Rider of Rider's True Value Hardware, 117 E. Wine Country Rd.

Dunham recognized for 25 years of service

GRANDVIEW - Grandview Librarian Linda Dunham was recognized during Monday night's city council meeting for her service to the community.

Dunham was first hired to work at the city library in 1980 and spent the last 25 years serving as the community librarian.

Eagle Scout honored for community service

GRANDVIEW - Monday night, the Grandview City Council recognized Josh Bardell for his service to the community. Bardell recently constructed horseshoe pits at the Grandview senior center as part of his Eagle Scout project.

Friends of the Library receives $2,500 grant

GRANDVIEW - Monday night, Grandview City Councilwoman and member of the local Friends of the Library organization, Helen Darr, announced that the group had recently received a $2,500 grant from Legends Casino.

She said the grant funds will be used in the children's area at Bleyhl Community Library.
