WAPATO - Bickleton High School senior Annie Hess looks on pace to bring her prep track and field career to an exciting conclusion.
Hess nabbed two first place finishes at this past Friday's 'B' District meet at Wapato High School.
Bickleton High School track and field coach Darrell Lang, this morning, was still waiting for the official results from the District meet to be faxed to him. But, Lang did have some of the results for those athletes who qualified for the District 5 and 6 Regional track and field meet to be held this Friday, May 27, at Central Washington University.
Hess set a new personal best mark in the discus with her first place toss of 145-0. Hess demolished her old record of 125-0. Hess also had the winning toss in the shotput. Her mark in the shotput wasn't immediately available.
Bickleton's other first place finish came from Corryn Raschko in the pole vault. Raschko tied a District record while setting a new personal best mark of 8-3.
Also representing Bickleton at the Regional meet this coming Friday will be Eric Hess. Hess had two fourth place finishes, both of which were personal bests for him. Hess was fourth in the shotput with a toss of 40-2. He also had a fourth place mark of 116-0 in the discus.
