Winter baseball camp

The seventh annual winter baseball camp is set for Dec. 21-22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. both days in the Chief Kamiakin gym.

The camp will provide the opportunity for basic skill development in catching, pitching, hitting, bunting, base running, infield and outfield, plus knowledge of game situations and strategies.

Held over Christmas Break, early registration is recommended for the popular indoor winter camp. Dave Martinez, Sunnyside Varsity Baseball Coach, is the coordinator and the fee is $20.00, which includes T-shirt.

The camp is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grades. Registration deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 13. Forms are available at the Sunnyside Community Center, 1521 S. First Street, South Hill Park. For more information call 837-8660.

Sunnyside Recreation Youth Basketball

The City of

Sunnyside Recreation Office is taking registrations for Youth Basketball league. The teams are for third through sixth grade boys and girls.

The first program date is Saturday, Jan. 7, from 10 am to noon at Chief Kamiakin Gym

The sign up fee is $20.00 in-city and $26.00 non-city, which includes a T-shirt. To register stop by the Sunnyside Community Center, 1521 S. First Street, South Hill Park. For more information call 837-8660.
