JOE M. BARNES
Joe M. Barnes, 81, of Grandview died Thursday, Nov. 3,
2005, at Yakima Regional Hospital.
He was born Nov. 9, 1923, to Joe and May (Phillips) Barnes
in Long Beach, Calif. He worked for the railroad as a telegrapher and also
served in the United States Navy. On Sept. 4, 1957, he married Phyllis Hope
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hope Barnes of
Grandview; one son, Jack Barnes of Ontario, Ore.; three stepsons, Wayne Scott
of Hayward, Calif., Ray Scott of Union City, Calif. and Jess Valler of Olympia;
one brother, Jerry Barnes of Auburn; and one sister, Virginia Conway of Moses
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At his request no formal funeral services will be held.
Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
ELIZABETH SUE SEXTON
Elizabeth Sue Sexton, 61, of Grandview died Saturday, Nov.
5, 2005, at Prosser Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Picher, Okla.
She owned her own floral shop, worked as a department
manager at Wal-Mart, and was an office manager at a Grandview company.
She is survived by four sons, Terry Sexton, Steve Sexton
and Ron Sexton, all of Grandview, and Jerry Sexton of Ponchatoula, La.; and two
daughters, Jeannie Fleming of Casa Grande, Ariz. and Lori Sidener of Savannah,
Ga.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at
2 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Grandview. Arrangements are under the direction of
Valley Hills Funeral Home, Sunnyside.
ENOCH M. ROCHA
Enoch M. Rocha, 52, of Sunnyside passed away Friday, Nov.
4, 2005, at Grandview Healthcare Center surrounded by his family.
He was born June 3, 1952 to Jose and Margarita (Daniel)
Rocha in Sunnyside. Enoch received his early education in Grandview. In June of
1973, he married Juanita Vijarro in Prosser. Enoch spent his working years as a
machinist at Hanford.
He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, dancing and being a

Calif.; his children, Margarita Rocha of Grandview, Enoch Rocha Jr. of Pomona,
Guadalupe Rocha and Juan Rocha, all of Pomona, Jose T. Rocha of Prosser and
Daniel Rocha of Prosser; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his
siblings, Ruth Ciriano and husband, Antonio, of Prosser, Hector M. Rocha of
Burbank, Enemias Rocha and wife, Esperanza, of Chula Vista, Calif., Elias M.
Rocha and wife, Sally, of Sunnyside, Moses Rocha and wife, Martha, of Pasco,
Juan Jose Rocha and wife, Maria, of Pasco, Rebecca Garcia and husband, Martin,
of Grandview and Baldemar Daniel and wife, Ofelia, of Ontario.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister,
Margarita; and nephew, Elias Rocha II.
Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005,
from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral
Home, Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005,
at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sunnyside. Smith Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
