GRANDVIEW - It may be November, but it's never too late to plan, or recover from, drought conditions.
The city of Grandview applied for, and received, a $235,000 emergency drought grant from the state's Department of Ecology.
On Monday, the city council inked an agreement authorizing receipt of the funds, which will be applied to an ongoing project to rehabilitate five of Grandview's wells.
The wells to be addressed, with help from the drought grant, are Balcom & Moe. Cohu, Highland, Pecan and South Willoughby.
The projects will allow Grandview to improve the capacity of its wells.
