Inmate escapes from Yakima center

A 40-year-old inmate, incarcerated at the Yakima Valley Community Restitution center escaped from custody the morning of Nov. 9.

The escapee has been identified as Patrick Clay, a contract prisoner from the City of Renton. He was being held by the city on a charge of misdemeanor theft and was scheduled to return to Renton Nov. 15.

Clay is described as an African American, 5 feet 1 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds. Area law enforcement have been notified and are assisting in the search for Clay.
