Albert L. Johnson, 94, of Yakima and a former Sunnyside resident died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005 in Yakima.
He was born April 7, 1911 in St. John to Sina and Elizabeth Johnson. He moved to the Sunnyside area as a young teenager. He married Phoebe Van Patter on May 24, 1930. He worked in the lumber business from 1929 until 1966, mostly in the Northern California area. He returned to the Outlook area in 1966 and raised grapes.
He is survived by his two sons, James of Redding, Calif. and Ronald of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Minnie Dexter and Gladys Riehle; one brother, John Johnson; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phoebe Johnson in 1989.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005 at 1 p.m. Remembrances are suggested to the American Heart Society. Valley Hills Funeral Home, Sunnyside, is in charge of arrangements.
