A power outage last Friday affected 1,032 customers in Sunnyside, according to Pacific Power spokesman Dave Kvamme.
The outage started at 8:35 a.m. and was restored by 9:25 a.m., Kvamme said.
The official cause of the outage is unknown.
Kvamme said oftentimes when outages like these occur, it's because an object gets into the lines and the circuits have to be reset or fuses need to be replaced.
"Usually the cause of that is a branch going through the lines," he said.
He said the circuits by which the company transmits its power are very much like home circuits, only on a larger scale. That means they suffer from the same problems of shorting out because of foreign objects.
