Rachelle Lynn Martin, daughter of Marcia Martin and Arnold Martin, both of Sunnyside, was married to Preston John Bouma in a Nov. 6 ceremony at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine.
The groom is the son of Lee and Jerre Bouma of Blaine, where the newlyweds also took up residence.
For her wedding the bride chose a strapless, diamond white, satin taffeta bustle dress with a bodice of beads and rhinestones. Her single-tiered veil was edged with rhinestones. She carried burgundy and cream roses and lilies with greenery.
Her bridal attendants were Monica Tudor of Prosser, Lynsey Barker of Bellingham, Jessica Johnson of Pasco, and Elena Brandford and Liza Gilbert, both of Seattle.
Alyssa Martin and Joel Martin, both of Sunnyside, were flower girl and ring bearer, respectively.
The groom's best man was Newton Bouma of Bellingham. Ushers were Byron Scheib, Brett Manning of Seattle and Chris Burke and Brian Ambrose, both of Blaine.
The newlyweds received their guests at a reception at the Semiahmoo Resort. They intend to take an Hawaiian honeymoon at a later date.
The bride, a graduate of Sunnyside Christian High School and Western Washington University, is a fitness coordinator at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham. The groom, a Blaine High School graduate, is a commercial fisherman employed at Millwork in Bellevue.
