Grandview High

to host college fair

GRANDVIEW - All Grandview High School students and their families are being invited to attend a college fair on Monday, Oct. 24.

Organizers say it will be an excellent opportunity for families to help prepare for a future college experience.

To be held in the high school cafeteria and gymnasium, the evening will begin with refreshments being served at 6 p.m., with keynote speaker Ruben Carrera of Sunnyside addressing those in attendance. From 7 to 8 p.m., students and their parents will be given the opportunity to speak with representatives from numerous colleges, technical schools, financial institutions and the military.

WSU recognizes summer quarter honor roll students

PULLMAN - Several Lower Yakima Valley residents have been recognized by Washington State University as 2005 summer quarter honor roll students.

The academic achievers include Sunnyside's Donna Dill, Carmen Driesen, Manuel Garcia, Kristin Ohlde, Angelica Poff, Julie Urrutia and Kristiann Vlieger; Grandview's Jeffrey Myers; Bickleton's Pamela Whitmore; and Prosser's Suzanne Colgren, Travis Davis, Cassie Malecha, Tyler Phillips and Mallory Van Klinken.
