Four burglaries and two thefts were reported yesterday (Tuesday) to the Sunnyside Police Department. A third theft was reported early this morning.
The first burglary was called in at 10:37 a.m. to report items taken from a residence in the 1200 block of Vista Avenue.
A second burglary was reported at 11:37 a.m. by a resident in the 600 block of Cemetery Road. Someone kicked in the back door to gain entry and stole numerous items.
At 6:47 p.m. a resident in the 900 block of Ida Belle Avenue reported the home had been ransacked, but it wasn't yet determined if anything was missing. Entry may have been made through a kitchen window which was found open.
At 8:18 p.m. a resident at a home in the 600 block of Grandview Avenue reported he found his resident ransacked when he returned home. The back door was found open.
Another resident reported that he found his home in the 1100 block of Tacoma Avenue burglarized when he returned home.
Jewelry, valued at $2,053, was stolen from a purse at a residence in the 1300 block of E. Harrison Avenue. That report was made by a woman who went to the police station at 2:20 p.m. to report her loss.
All of these incidents took place Tuesday, Oct. 5.
At some time in the first half hour of this morning (Wednesday) a light blue, 2004 Audi, license number 516SIW, was stolen from a residence in the 1300 block of S. 8th Street.
