Seniors to be treated to a day of caring, Hawaiian style

GRANDVIEW - The Grandview Parks and Recreation Department is inviting all area seniors citizens to a special day all their own.

On Thursday, Sept. 8, the parks department will be hosting a day of caring ice cream social for senior citizens.

The event will be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Carl L. Stevens Senior Center, 401 West Second Street.

The theme for the day will be Hawaiian. The event will feature a variety of games, including door prizes. Parks officials are promising a day filled with fun for everyone in attendance.

The ice cream social event is being sponsored in cooperation with the Grandview Wal-Mart Distribution Center and United Way of Yakima County.
