G'view fields one swimmer at Moses Lake meet

MOSES LAKE - Only one of the two swimmers for the Grandview High School girls swim team was able to compete this past Saturday at a meet in Moses Lake against Cheney.

Lady Greyhound sophomore Violet Buzzell competed in two events.

She had a time of 42.38 in the 50 freestyle and a clocking of 2:19.16 in the 100 breast.

Grandview Coach Rhonda Baker said that no team score was kept for Grandview since it only has two swimmers on its team.

Baker, though, has been very proud of the two Grandview swimmers.

"The girls are really happy they are swimming," said Baker.

Baker said Buzzell, who just started swimming this year, was nervous on Saturday.

"But she did really great," said Baker.

Grandview will be competing at a meet in Richland tonight (Tuesday).
