Grandview pair square off against Falcons

WEST RICHLAND - The two-person Grandview High School girls swim team faced Hanford yesterday.

No team score was kept for the Lady Greyhounds, as it takes four swimmers to comprise a team.

Grandview sophomore Violet Buzzell competed in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in a time of 42.18. The Lady Greyhound sophomore had a clocking of 1:41.21 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Teammate LeAnn Pierce saw her first action of the season.

"She did great," said Grandview Coach Rhonda Baker.

Pierce had a clocking of 42.46 in the 50-yard freestyle. In the 100 backstroke, Pierce finished with a time of 1:54.62.

"They are doing great," said Baker of her two swimmers.

The Grandview girls will be competing this Saturday in Pullman.
