Ricks votes against consent agenda
Sunnyside City Councilman Bruce Ricks cast the lone vote
this past Monday night against approving the consent agenda.
Ricks didn't vocalize his objection, but in the past has
always voted against consent agenda items with liquor license renewal requests
Among the items on the consent agenda were four liquor
license renewal requests. The first request approved by Council was for the
AM/PM Mini Market, 1850 Waneta Road. Council also approved liquor license
renewal requests from the Golden Coin Restaurant, 509 East Edison; Veterans of
Foreign Wars Post #3482; and Forum, 1818 Morgan Road.
Other items on the consent agenda included approving the
minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, Aug. 8, and a list of vouchers.
Council approved voucher payments in the amount of $515,777. The public may
view the vouchers at the city finance department.
