Art entries sought for 50th annual exhibition

YAKIMA - Larson Gallery is accepting entries for the "50th Annual Central Washington Artists Exhibition," a juried exhibit of artists residing in Benton, Chelan, Douglas, Franklin, Grant, Kittitas, Klickitat, Okanogan, Walla Walla and Yakima Counties. More than $6,000 in cash awards will be presented. Entries will be accepted Oct. 18-20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Larson Gallery, on the Yakima Valley Community College Campus in Yakima.

Only original artwork not previously shown in a juried exhibition at the Larson Gallery and completed during the preceding two calendar years will be considered. All artwork must be designed and executed by the exhibiting artist. Artwork that is known or suspected to be a direct copy of published/copyrighted material will be disqualified. Eligible media includes watercolor, oil, acrylic, mixed media, print, drawing, ceramic, fiber, metal, wood, glass and non-traditional materials. Photography and installation art is not eligible. Non-refundable entry fees are $10 per entry for current Larson Gallery Guild members up to four entries per artist and $14 per entry for non-members. Entry forms are available at the gallery and at:

This year's jurors are painter, sculptor and mixed media artist Sherry Markovitz and painter, printmaker and mixed media artist Blake Haygood, both of Seattle.
