Middle School plans open house for later today
GRANDVIEW - Parents of all Grandview Middle School students
are urged to attend an open house tonight (Monday), from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Building tours, classroom visits and one-on-one meetings
with teachers are all scheduled at tonight's Grandview Middle School open
house. There will also be a brief presentation on how parents can access their
child's grades on-line, as well as attendance records.
Granger man injured in
GRANGER - A 20-year-old Granger man sustained injuries when
his automobile was struck by a train last Friday morning.
Washington State Patrol troopers report that Jose M.
Gutierrez Mancilla required hospitalization after his 1988 Jaguar XJ-6 was
struck by a westbound train at the SR-223 and South Track Road crossing, near
WSP troopers said Mancilla failed to stop at the railroad
crossing, despite the crossing arms being lowered to warn of an oncoming train.
Friday's accident occurred at about 8:10 a.m.
