Crusaders win in three games at Bickleton

BICKLETON - The high flying Riverside Christian Crusaders dominated as expected last Friday night against the inexperienced and young Bickleton Lady Pirates volleyball team.

The Crusaders won in three straight games (25-10, 25-6, 25-20), although Bickleton gave Riverside Christian a run for its money in the third and deciding game.

"We passed extremely well that third game," said Bickleton Assistant Coach Kim Clinton, explaining the tight 25-20 score.

Clinton specifically noted the outstanding passing of sophomore Ilsa Chapple, despite Chapple playing injured.

Clinton said her team also performed well from the service line the third game, "...and we thought our girls hustled a lot the entire match."

Bickleton (0-3, 0-6) is scheduled to play at Klickitat tomorrow (Tuesday), and will then travel to take on Goldendale's 'C' squad this coming Thursday.
